Great New Things for Scrum and Agile Training from ASPE

Monday, February 25th, 2013

2013 will be a year of growth and change for our Agile training and Scrum training curricula.  As the nationwide leader in Agile and Scrum training, we’ve decided one of the first steps we need to take is updating the instructional design of training materials for all our Agile training courses.

These updates include providing a full and complete table of contents for all course materials.  Each section of the course materials will have a list of objectives to be covered during class as well as a review at the end of each section to make sure all stated objectives were covered.  We’re also adding a notes section to at least one third of all slides included in our course manuals in order to provide additional relevant information to our students. Our Agile Boot Camp as well as our PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® Workshop training materials have already received updates and the others will follow.  These are terrific upgrades to our training materials and should only enhance our Agile training courses and Scrum training courses further. Certified Scrum Trainers (CSTs) play a central role within the Scrum Alliance. CSTs are certified to teach Certified Scrum Master courses and Certified Scrum Product Owner courses. In order to become a Certified Scrum Trainer, individuals must have a solid understanding of the Scrum framework, principles and values.  They must have extensive experience implementing and coaching Scrum inside organizations but have training experience beyond Scrum as well.  They must also be active within the Scrum community. For a brief outline of the CST approval process, visit http://www.scrumalliance.org/pages/certified_scrum_trainer. Click to continue »
